Several Ohio County residents were involved in a four vehicle accident Thursday on Highway 54 in Owensboro.

According to a report from the Kentucky State Police, Johnathan K. Morris, 17, of Owensboro, was driving a Toyota pickup at 6:37 p.m. on Highway 54 when he attempted to make a left hand turn into the Vessel’s convenient store parking lot. Morris turned directly into the path of a Honda Pilot, operated by Terri L. Thompson, 50, of Vincennes, Ind.

The Honda Pilot was then forced into a Ford Mustang operated by Melissa D. Manuel, 33, of Reynolds Station, who was attempting to exit the parking lot.

After Thompson’s vehicle struck the Ford Mustang, it then struck the rear of a Chevrolet pickup which was parked at the convenient store. The parked pickup truck was owned by Donnie Johnson, 55, of Dundee.

Thompson had two passengers in her vehicle, Sarah Thompson, 20, and Emily Snider, 20, both of Vincennes. Manuel had one passenger in her vehicle, Byron Manuel, 37, of Hartford. Johnson was with Patricia Johnson, 54, also of Dundee.

Those who were injured and the extent of their injuries were unavailable.
