Like the Lady Eagles soccer program, the Ohio County High boys’ soccer team played an alumni game last Saturday at Russell Field, with 14 former Eagles providing opposition to next year’s varsity squad.
According to OCHS assistant coach Scott Harp, “This was our first annual alumni match. We had…alumni come out and play a 70-minute match with our current team…this was very helpful in preparing us for our team camp at Lindsey Wilson College coming up right after ‘dead period.’ Our team played well and fought hard the entire match against a talented alumni team, and we were pleased to see them maintain an offensive presence the entire match.”
The alumni Eagles taking part Saturday were Jose Andres, Nick Baumann, Nathan Bishop, Curtis Espey, T.J. Johnson, Pedro Martinez, and Matt Taylor along with ’11 Eagles Trey Cardwell, Travis Foreman, Zak Johnson, Skyler Klaas, Seth Lasher, Salvador Loc, and Cody Moseley.
The 2012 Eagles in action were rising-seniors Jarrod Ford, Carson Harp, and J.D. Nolte, juniors Johnathan Bailey, Brian Hernandez, and Logan Whitely, sophomores Rhett Baggarly, Kade Gregory, and Alex Lindsey along with varsity newcomers senior Austin Bailey, sophomores Matt Daugherty, Jacob Hohimer, Noah Maikranz, and Ryan Perry, and freshman McCord Thomas.
