Lady Eagle golf team competes in Lady Storm Invitational

Ohio County High’s Lady Eagle golf team competed in the Lady Storm Invitational, a 12-team event hosted by Hopkins County Central High School played Saturday at the Madisonville Country Club.  Calloway County took first place in the team competition with a four-player score of 311, led by Lady Laker Anna Hack’s medalist round of 68.

Team/individual scores from the Lady Storm Invitational were:  Calloway County 311 (Hack 68, Cornell 78, Simmons 81, Contri 84; *Sheets 84 — did not figure in team scoring), Owensboro Catholic 345 (O.Cason 75, Ingram 87, E.Cason 88, Conkright 95; *Jenkins 113), Henderson County 350 (Johnson 84, Zehner 84, Bumpus 91, May 91; *Newsome 93), Madisonville-North Hopkins 362 (Senter 81, Robinson 90, Melton 95, Rose 96; *Hallum 99), Muhlenberg County 366(DeArmond 88, Soderling 90, Shoemaker 93, Vincent 95; *Brewer 97), Graves County 373 (Whitnell 87, Choate 90, Martin 97, Ballard 99; *Whitlock 118), Marshall County 380 (Tyree 77, Hendrickson 78, Doss 108, Baker 117; *Rudd 124), Barren County 382 (Jewell 86, Withrow 87, Shipley 104, Steenberger 105; *Florence 109), Daviess County 389(Lyons 90, Ellis 91, Gilbreat 103, Hale 105; *Tranthem 114), Hancock County 405 (Bloom 93, Kurz 100, Hagman 105, LaMar 107), Apollo 426(Muffett 89, Carter 104, Foster 111, Schroader 122), Ohio County 500 (Hanna Coots 113, Dakota Gowins 126, Makenzie Moore 130, Hannah Cruze 131; *Josie Williams 151).  Ohio County’s Rebecca Robinson also played Saturday as an individual, shooting a round of 131.

Coach Andy Gowins’ Ohio County girls visit the Lafayette Golf Course at Falls of Rough Tuesday to battle Breckinridge County.
