Stella Marie Hill, age 92, of Caneyville Ky., passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield. She was born on Feb. 12, 1922, in Ohio County, the daughter of the late Ollie Andrew and Charlotte (Bell) Johnson.
She attended the Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Stella was a housewife and enjoyed gardening and sewing.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Lucian Payton and her second husband, Edgar Hill.
Stella is survived by her great-nephew, Michael Crawford (Brenda) of Caneyville; her stepson, Roger Hill (Barbara) of McHenry and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday, June 27, at 1 p.m. at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Burial will be in the Layman Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Thursday after 2 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
