James Estel Crick, 97, of Nortonville, passed away Monday, June 30, 2014, at Brighton Cornerstone Nursing Home, Madisonville. He was born Oct. 26, 1916, in Christian County, to the late Harvey Edward and the late Eron (Carlton) Crick.

Mr. Crick was a member of Cole’s Chapel Church and a retired employee of Ford Motor Co. He was also a retired coal miner from District 23 and loved his family and friends.

He is also predeceased by his wife, Louise Bullock Crick; a brother, Carlos Crick; and four sisters, Cora Whitfield, Agnes Yonts, Ozzie Mannahan, and Verna Hampton.

He is survived by one daughter, Marilyn (David) Saint of Beaver Dam; three sons, Glenn (Shirley) Crick of Crofton, Ronnie (Diane) Crick of Nortonville, and Bruce (Paula) Crick of Chandler, Ind.; nine grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 12 p.m. at Bandy Funeral Home, with Bro. Howard Jones officiating. Friends may call Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Thursday after 10 a.m.at the funeral home. Interment will be Thursday in New Salem Cemetery, Nortonville.
