FredaTappSweeneyFreda Tapp Sweeney, 64, of Livermore, Ky., entered into eternal peace on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. Freda Chyrl Tapp was born Sept. 25, 1949, in Sevierville, Tenn., to the late Charles Lester and Dorothy Ogle Tapp and was the beloved wife and best friend of Michael Wayne Sweeney, whom she married June 28 of 1985.

Freda was a homemaker and lifelong member of Richland Baptist Church, where she actively served and loved the Lord. She loved her grandchildren, enjoyed painting, knitting, cooking, her flowers, and caring for her puppies, Mickey, Emily, and Betsy.

In addition to her parents, Freda was preceded in death by a step daughter, Jamie Sweeney Plummer.

Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Mike Sweeney; two sons and their wives, Michael and Holly Schindler and Matthew and Diana Schindler both of Livermore; two step sons, Kreg Sweeney of Westfield, Ind., and Brent Sweeney and wife, Nicole of Livermore; six grandchildren, Gracie, Brandon, Amanda, Jayla, Kaylee, and Lauren; three sisters and their husbands, Phyllis and George Smith of Livermore, Lisa and Jerry Wilkins of Owensboro, and Shirley and Vince Vaught of Matanzas; two brothers, Paul Tapp and companion, Josephine Cabrera, of Owensboro and Tim Tapp and wife, Carol, of Henderson; six nieces; 13 nephews; several great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Rev. Jonathan Turner officiating. Burial will be in the Richland Baptist Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Freda’s family from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until time of services Wednesday at Musters in Livermore.
