JaniceMillerJanice Miller, 75, of Narrows, Ky., passed away on Aug. 8, 2014, at home. She was born in Livermore, Ky., on March 30, 1939, to the late Everette and Bernettie Williams Stogner.

She retired as a CNA of 40 years and was a housewife.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars, AMVETS and the Eagles Auxiliaries.

She enjoyed fishing, dancing, working crossword puzzles, and watching horror movies. She also loved her two puppies.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Archie Logan Miller in 1998; a daughter, Ava “Cissybug” Riley; son-in-law, Iris Lee “Junebug” Riley Jr.; granddaughter, Stormy Dawn Riley; three brothers, Glendal “Buddy”, Lawrence “Larry”, and Junior Ellis “Dago” Stogner; and two sisters, Meryll Jennett Carrmon and Carolyn Rose Stogner.

She is survived by her son, Thomas Archie Miller of Hartford; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Thomas Noble Stogner of Calhoun and Edward Eugene “Tutter” Stogner of Owensboro; a sister, Judith Ann (William Thomas) Kirk of Fordsville; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home with Peter Sutton officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnydale Cemetery in Ohio County. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Haley McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home.
