MargaretWalkerBandyMargaret Merilene Walker Bandy, 90, of Greenville, Ky., died Sunday morning, Aug. 17, 2014, at 9 a.m. at her home after a lengthy illness.  Margaret was born March 29, 1924, in Muhlenberg County the daughter of Earl Franklin Walker and Connie Henry Johnston Walker.

She was a housewife and homemaker and was a member of Cherry Grove Church of Christ in Weir, Ky. She loved gardening and cooking and tending to her roses and being with family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 69 years, Wendell Moore Bandy; son, Dalmas Wayne Bandy; two brothers, J.W. Walker and Bennie Walker; three sisters, Marjorie Wells, Floella Dukes and Aline Grace.

She is survived by one son, Kevin (Judy) Bandy, of Greenville, Ky.; one daughter, Nila Yvonne Smith, of Greenville, Ky.; two grandsons, Conner Bandy, of Greenville, Ky., and Chad (Krista) Bandy, of Harrisburg, Ill.; three great-grandchildren, Erick Bandy, Izak Bandy, and Jarrett Bandy; one sister, Wanda Bandy, of Beaver Dam, Ky., and one brother, Gerald Walker, of Greenville, Ky.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday morning, Aug. 20, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Cherry Grove Church of Christ in Weir, Ky., by Mr. Bob Gardner and Rev. Danny Mooneyhan with burial to follow in Cherry Grove Cemetery Weir, Ky.  Gary’s Funeral Home Greenville, KY are in charge of arrangements.

Friends may call Tuesday evening, Aug. 19, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home Greenville, Ky., and at Cherry Grove Church of Christ in Weir, Ky., after 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning Aug. 20, until Funeral time.
