OwenWorthOwen G. Worth, 79, of Owensboro, passed away Friday, Aug. 22, 2014, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, surrounded by family. He was born on April 14, 1935, in Chicago, Ill., to the late Moody A. and Dora Teal Worth.

Owen was an avid outdoorsman who especially enjoyed fishing and camping.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Dan, Ted and George Worth.

Owen is survived by his children, John K. Worth (Tammy) of Hartford, Phillip O. Worth (Angela) and Elizabeth Ann Brown (Charles K.), both of Owensboro; former spouse, Ann K. Worth of Owensboro; a sister, Ruth Ann Atkin (Mike) of Oostburg, Wisc.; eight grandchildren, Anthony, Drew, Derek, Reine, Jeremy, Jarred, Harrison and Kinsley; and several great grandchildren.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to Dr. Tamberly McCoy and the staff at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for the excellent care given to Owen and the family. They also extend a special thanks to very dear friends, Mark and Regina.

Mr. Worth’s wish was to be cremated without services. Burial of remains will be private.
