Earl R. Martin, 82, of Owensboro, passed away on Sept. 28, 2014. He was born on April 10, 1932, in Ohio County to the late Gilbert and Georgia Hillard Martin.
Earl was retired and a veteran of the Korean War. He was an avid fan of the University of Kentucky Wildcats and St. Louis Cardinals.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents, twin sisters, Marlene and Darlene, and brother, Bobby Martin.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Betty Lou Maddox Martin; sons, Rick Martin and Michael (Karen) Martin; daughter, Patricia (Ike Duke) Martin; brother, Eddie Martin, of Elizabethtown; sister, Linda (Rodney) Beasley, of McHenry; four grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Billy (Elaine) Maddox, of Chippewa, Wisc., and several nieces and nephews.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 10 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
