Wilma Lou Hamilton, 80, of Owensboro, Ky., passed away Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014, at her residence. She was born on April 7, 1934, in Eureka, Ind., to the late William Eugene Johnson and Madge Levi Johnson.
Mrs. Hamilton was a homemaker and a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Wilford Johnson; three brothers, Harry Johnson, William Johnson and Wallace Johnson; five sisters, Helen Critchfield, Christina Johnson, Rose Lee Johnson, Lorenn Lauderdale and Idabell Stevens.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Joe Hamilton; three sons, Bill Don Fike and his wife, Melanie, Timothy Dale Hamilton and Ronald Joe Hamilton and his companion, Shelia Sutherlin; six grandchildren, Madge Eriks, Jaimie Fike-Moore and her husband, Ryan, Jesse Fike, Katie Hamilton, Joe Dale Hamilton, Jr. and Ronnie Joe Hamilton, Jr.; one great-grandson, Ashton Eriks; one sister, Vivian Oldham of Booneville, Ind.; and three sisters-in-law, Betty Johnson, Eileen Johnson and Katherine Johnson.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Utica, Ky.
