Clora D. Patterson, 88, of Caneyville, passed away Oct. 14, 2014, at the Springview Health and Rehab in Leitchfield. She was born on Dec. 28, 1925, in Grayson County, the daughter of the late Ira and Stella (Preston) Young.
Clora was a member of the Yeaman Church of Christ and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Along with her husband, Punch, she ran a dairy farm and enjoyed cooking.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Walter “Punch” Patterson.
Clora is survived by her four daughters, Brenda Carter (Roy), of Henry County, Carolyn Fraim (Jerry), of Caneyville, Evelyn Embry (Dalis), of Oldham County, and Rita Strasburger (Johnie Blair), of Caneyville; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Hubert Young, of Hartford.
Funeral services will be Friday, Oct. 17, at 11 a.m. at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro Reed Young will be officiating. Burial will be in the Yeaman Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Thursday from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
