Shannon Faye Carlisle Reynolds, 72, of Owensboro, passed away on Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, at Owensboro Regional Health Hospital. She was born in Henderson County, Ky., on May 6, 1942, to the late Shelby Ellis Carlisle and Flossie Lee Henry Carlisle Rice.
She was an employee of Mudd’s Furniture for more than 40 years and a member of Audubon Nazarene Church. She enjoyed reading and watching “Wheel of Fortune,” but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She also was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Reynolds; her stepfather, Bill Rice; and three brothers, Keith, Larry and Freddie Carlisle.
She is survived by her children, Karen (Gary) Helm and Thomas Reynolds, both of Owensboro; her grandchildren, Kelsey and Ciara Reynolds; her siblings, Jack (Carolyn) Carlisle, Wayne (Mary Rose) Carlisle, Floetta (Ronald) Vaughn, Sandra (Ronald) Sandefur, Elaine (Mike) Thompson, Bonnie (Dale) Bowlds, Steven (Sonia) Carlisle, Rickey (Gail) Carlisle, all of Owensboro, and Kristina (Josh) McCoy, of Hartford; three sisters-in-law, Rexie Carlisle, Connie Carlisle, both of Owensboro, and Mary Carlisle of New Albany, Ind.; a special friend and uncle, Amos Falloway, of Owensboro; numerous, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, and her beloved pet, Sheba.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Grant officiating. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
