MarieTroutmanMarie Troutman, 91, of Utica, Ky., passed away Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, at her residence. She was born on Jan. 15, 1923, in Webster County, Ky., to the late W. A. Winstead and Sible Ann Johnson Winstead.

Mrs. Troutman was co-owner of Troutman’s Friendly Service in Buford, Ky. She was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church, and loved crocheting and quilting. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Mauzy, who was killed during World War II; her second husband, Chester A. Troutman on Dec. 16, 2003; one brother, Conard Winstead and one sister, Lucille Griffin.

Survivors include two daughters, Kay Mauzy Mills (Jim) of Ft. Wayne, Ind., and Rita Ann Martin (Don) of Tobaccoville, N.C.; one stepdaughter, Sue Rowe, of Louisville, Ky.; three grandchildren, Heather Noyes (Tom) of Indianapolis, Ind., Brandon Mills (Stephanie) of Ft. Wayne, Ind., and Ashley Morgan (Chad Carney) of Garner, N.C.; four stepgrandchildren, Victor Rowe and Derek Rowe, both of Louisville, John Martin (Jamie) of Advance, N.C. and Tom Martin (Katie) of Pfafftown, N.C.; two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Bryson Mills of Ft. Wayne; and four stepgreat-grandchildren, Brooke Rowe of Corning, N.Y., Delanie and Sidda Martin of Pfafftown, N.C. and Brooks Martin of Advance, N.C.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford, Kentucky with Bro. Frank Benton and Pastor Chris Taylor officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens in Owensboro, Ky.
