Janet Sue Hancock Bartlett, 72, of Pleasant Ridge, Ky., died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born Dec. 18, 1941, in Owensboro to the late Alphie and Charlie N. Hancock.
She obtained her nursing license in 1964 and was employed at Hillcrest Healthcare Center, Owensboro Daviess County Hospital, in the Intensive Care Unit of Community Methodist Hospital for 17 years and the Carmel Home. She was a member of the First Church of God at Pleasant Ridge. She loved cross-stitching.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Roy, Ray and Ralph Hancock and Shirley Gibson.
Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer Bartlett of Pleasant Ridge, Ky.; a grandson, Christopher Bartlett, of Owensboro; and a sister, Bette Bullington, of Pleasant Ridge, Ky.
Memorial services are 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 12, 2014, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Visitation is from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
