DaroldWinklemanDarold Lee Winkleman, 75, of Beaver Dam, passed away March 1, 2015, at the University of Louisville Hospital. He was born Oct. 9, 1939, in St. Louis, Mo., to the late Raymond and Flossie Winkleman.

Darold was an inspector for the department of labor. He loved spending time outdoors. His adventures included farming, fishing, planting, and riding the trails of his property while discovering wildlife. Darold also enjoyed television and had a particular liking to The Big Bang Theory.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a wonderful sister, Betty O’Heron.

Darold is survived by his wife of 56 years, June Winkleman, of Beaver Dam; son, Don Winkleman (Kecia) of Riviera, Uruguay; grandsons, Devinn Winkleman, of Beaver Dam, David and Drayson Winkleman, of Riviera, Uruguay; granddaughters, Dejha Weathers (Jim), of Madison, Ala., Jalen Winkleman, of Riviera, Uruguay; great-grandchildren, Conner, Hudson, and Juliet Weathers; brother, Danny Winkleman, of Golconda, Ill.; sisters, Karen Burd, of Tampa, Fla., Judy Swick, of Shipman, Ill., Sally Thompson, of Centertown, Ky., Lisa Hays, of Lutz, Fla., and special brother-in-law and friend, David Hinant, of Harrisburg, Ill.

There will be no services. Darold will be laid to rest on the sunny side of a hill, next to a drift of daffodils.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Ohio Co. Food Bank in Darold’s name.
