Edward Lee ‘Blue Gill’ Gillim, Sr.

Edward Lee “Blue Gill” Gillim, Sr., passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015, at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville. He was born March 5, 1955, in Hartford, Ky., to the late Orville and Edith Galloway Gillim.

He was a member of Southside Church of Christ in Owensboro and a retired delivery truck driver for RC and Coca–Cola.

Beside his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Russell Gillim, Ray Gillim, and Carlon Gillim.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Debbie Gillim, of Owensboro; three sons, Eddie Lee Gillim, Jr., Billy Gillim, and Rex (Julia) Gillim, all of Owensboro; two brothers, Glendon Gillim and Grit Gillim, both of Rosine; five sisters, Sue Underwood, of Evansville, Monnie Grant, of Hartford, Donita Miller, of Madisonville, Judy Carter, of Hopkinsville, and Linda Eddleman, of Bowling Green; and two grandchildren, Parker Gillim and Scarlett Gillim also survive.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 15, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Sunday at the funeral home.
