Betty Lou Heflin, 73, of Madisonville, formerly of Ohio County, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015, at her home. She was born Jan. 18, 1942, in Grayson County, Ky., to the late Dennie and Dorcie Fleener Smith.
She was a member of Manitou Baptist Church and she was a housewife.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son; Steven Wayne Heflin; three sisters, Mildred Smith, Jean Heflin and Chloe Berkley; and two brothers, Edward D. Smith and Billy Smith.
Survivors include her husband, Alton Heflin, of Madisonville; her daughter, Dianna Lynn Michael, of Madisonville; one sister, Linda Sims (Jimmy Graham), of McHenry; and one grandson, Miles Steven Michael of Madisonville.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 19, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Sam Beeny officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until the time of service Sunday at the funeral home.
