Jimmy Lee Ashby Sr., 64, of Beaver Dam, passed away Friday, April 17, 2015, at his home. He was born Sept. 23, 1950, in Beaver Dam to the late Charles Ashby, Sr., and Margaret “Jean” Ashby.
He was a member of Green River Baptist Church and was retired from Stericycle where he was a truck driver. Jimmy was a United States Army Veteran.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Lee Ashby, Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Fields Ashby, of Beaver Dam; his son, Matthew (Shana) Ashby; three brothers, John (JoAnn) Ashby, of Hartford, Bill Ashby, of Beaver Dam, and Charles Eddie Ashby, Jr., of Beaver Dam; one sister, Cheryl Walden, of Utica; and two grandchildren, Cole and Noah Ashby.
Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Pastor Kelley Harris officiating. Burial will be in Green River Cemetery in Cromwell. Friends may visit with the family from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
