TEHughesThomas Everett Hughes, Jr., 79, of Reynolds Station, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 30, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Daviess County to the late Thomas Everett, Sr., and Ruth Ann Hughes.

He was retired from National Southwire and worked 14 years at V.E. Anderson. He was a graduate of Fordsville High School and a member of Newton Springs Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was an avid UK fan.

Survivors include his wife, Paula Sue Hughes of Reynolds Station; his son, James David (Vicki) Hughes, of Beaver Dam; five grandchildren, Kyle Hughes and Kailyn Hughes, of Hartford, Brock Hughes, of Beaver Dam, Amanda Hughes Sheffield, of Owensboro, and Ashley Hughes Bulloch, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 3, at Geary Funeral Home, Fordsville with burial in Fordsville Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday and after 10 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
