Russell Eugene Daugherty, 84, of Horse Branch, passed away Sunday May 24, 2015, at Beaver Dam Nursing and Rehab. He was born Dec. 17, 1930, in Baizetown (Ohio County), Ky., to the late Roscoe and Margiedean Baize Daugherty.
He was of Baptist Faith and a retired heavy equipment operator.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie Jewell Daugherty.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary (Daniel) Batts, of Monticello, and Sharon (Paul) Coy, of Baizetown; one sister, Emogene (Charles) Geary, of Beaver Dam. Russell was blessed with two grandchildren, Paul Martin Coy and Mary Carol (Christopher) Coy Daugherty; and four great-grandchildren, Dean Logan Coy, Kaden Jagger Coy, Bentley Blaine Coy, and Gunner Talon Daugherty.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Jeff Evans officiating. Burial will be in Renfrow Cemetery near Horse Branch. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
