Joe Hairl Phelps, 65, of Bowling Green, Ky., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky. Joe was born May 9, 1950, in Butler County, Ky., to the late James Hairl and Inez Clark Phelps.
He was a retired mechanic and was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Amanda Jo Phelps.
Joe Hairl Phelps is survived by one son, Joe Phelps, Jr., wife Glennis, of Woodburn, Ky.; two granddaughters, Kadence Phelps, of Woodburn, Ky., and Amanda Jo Phelps, of Fordsville, Ky.; one grandson, Bonham Phelps, of Fordsville, Ky.; one brother Dairl Phelps, of Morgantown, Ky.; two sisters, Carolyn Lindsey, of Morgantown, Ky., and Daisy Baxter, of Bowling Green, Ky., and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held at a later date and arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Chapel.
