Sparks in the Park set for July 4
Once again, the Ohio County Chamber of Commerce will be sponsoring a free community wide 4th of July celebration.
“Sparks in the Park,” a project of the 2005 Chamber’s Leadership Development Class, has become an exciting community event.
This year the event will take place on Thursday, July 4th at the Ohio County Park. (In case of rain, the fireworks will be on July 5.) The gates will open at 6:30 p.m.. The flag ceremony will be presented by the Boy Scouts and Kristine Luttrell will be singing the National Anthem. Wilson Crowe will provide free entertainment for the evening leading up to the annual fireworks display.
This year there will be five food vendors available with concessions and t-shirt sales are back. “Sparks” T Shirts will also be available for purchase.
As in the past, this year’s celebration is made available by various Ohio County Business sponsors. The Chamber invites everyone to come out and enjoy this evening of free entertainment as we celebrate this great nation’s birthday.
