Ohio County's Eagles whipped 10th District foe McLean County 13-3 Monday night at home in a game stopped in the bottom of the fifth on the run rule.  A rematch was scheduled for Tuesday at the Cougars' field in Calhoun. Griffin tosses 2-hit shutout in win over Meade Co.

Zach Johnson's sacrifice fly drove home Brice Phelps with the only run Tuesday as the Ohio County Eagles edged Meade County 1-0 at Brandenburg.  That lone run was good enough for Eagle pitcher Jake Griffin who tossed a two-hit shutout at the host Green Wave. Eagles finish first in Ray Chapman Wooden Bat tourney

Ohio County beat Hopkins County Central and University Heights Academy Saturday at Leach Field to capture first place in their own annual Ray Chapman Wooden Bat Tournament.  Both Hopkins Central and University Heights finished the one-day event with 1-1 marks while Butler County was 0-2. Former Eagle Tichenor named conference ‘Offensive Athlete of the Week’

The Daviess County Panthers took a 3-0 lead Monday night at Bill Leach Field and managed to make it hold up in a close 3-2 win over Ohio County.  The host Eagles ended up with more hits and less errors than their guests but fell short.
